Project: Effects of Invasive Non-Native Species within ecological networks and consequences for ecosystem function

Fundamentally I am interested in the complexities of the natural world through species interactions and the use of ecological network modelling to attempt to capture that complexity. I am interested in how invasive non-native species can change a community's species interactions and the potential consequences on ecosystems.

My current research is focused on two invasive non-native species, Vespa velutina (Yellow-legged Hornet) and Harmonia axyridis (Harlequin Ladybird) and how each will/does impact pollinator-plant networks in the UK.
